Annual Report for the year 2006

Goals and Objectives
1) The library’s collection will reflect the community and continue to grow with the community.
2) The library will provide more diverse programs to educate and entertain the community.
3) The library will increase our circulation by 2000 items.

Accomplishments
The library again had a successful summer reading program. With such great performances provided by Buffalo and Brandy, Fiddlesticks, and three storytelling sessions, we had a lot of fun. We also have made great strides in increasing our DVD and Books on CD collections last year. These are areas in which we will continue to enlarge in the coming years. We have created a little Home School area, in which there are books to assist Home School parents with their lesson plans. Like all other collections in the library these books can be checked out by any patron. We also received money from both the Clarendon Lions Club and the Holley chapter of Rotary International, which helped round out our collections.

Future Happenings
We are in the process of unveiling our 1st annual Student Art Show on Monday April 16th, 2007. The artwork will hang in our meeting room for two weeks, so please come and look at what the students in our community have created. We are also planning on having the two new internet computers set up soon so that we will now have six internet computers that are for the use of our patrons. Also, keep an eye on the Suburban news and Tri County Advertiser for future events and happenings.
